JFK Status Update 0420

Airport:  Open

AirTrain:  Fully Operational

Mass Transit Conditions
The MTA is operating near normal, regularly scheduled over night service across the commuter rail, subway and bus regional transportation network, with limited exceptions. Busing will remain in effect on the Waterbury Branch of Metro-North's New Haven Line due to weather-related equipment shortages.
Bus service is operating on a normal schedule. Buses running during the late and over night hours have been outfitted with chains for added traction; salt trucks have been filled and equipped with plows to help keep bus stops clear. However, as the storm advances, routes and service levels will be evaluated. If conditions deteriorate, service will be curtailed or suspended. Customers are strongly advised to monitor this website for the latest service updates.
Roadways Into Airport:  SALT on all Roadways

“Rock” Parking Lot:  Icy (not salted or treated) .  Use extreme caution when turning into and walking in parking lot.
