Weather Forecast Saturday January 21, 2012

Hi folks --
Prepare for a moderate snowfall  ranging from around 2 inches near
Montauk Point to around 5 inches north of New York City with isolated
amounts up to 6 inches from 1 am Saturday through early Saturday Afternoon.

The Winter Storm Watch for the Lower Hudson Valley will be replaced by a
Winter Weather Advisory.

A Winter Weather Advisory continues for New York City and Long Island.

Port Authority Snow Meeting Report

Jerry Spampanato chaired the first snow meeting of the season. No major issues reported.

Forecast - Their forecast shows snow starts at approximately 0100 hrs. Saturday, 1/21/12 and continues through 1300 hrs.. Major accumulation 0400 to 0900 hrs. with 3 expected, just in time for the morning rush.

Terminals - All pax terminals reported no major issues expected, no cancellations at this time.

AirTrain - service will be extended throughout the night.

PA Operations - will be staffed throughout the night monitoring events.

Conference calls -  not scheduled however, if the weather conditions deteriorate, i.e. snow over 6 or if we experience long delays in arrivals/departures, local government and stakeholders will be notified of the time of the call(s).
